Thinking about staying at the RS Sea Side Hotel Pattaya during your time in Thailand?
After checking out the reviews and using what I know about Pattaya - I find myself at a crossroads.
It depends on what you're looking for and what's important to you during your time in Thailand.
Do you want more of the Pattaya nightlife at any price?
Do you want to enjoy the beaches more?
Are you on a budget?
Find out for yourself if this Pattaya hotel is for you.
This hotel is great if you're looking for a more quiet time. In fact this hotel is closer to Jomtien beach than it is Walking Street. This means that it's a great place to stay if you want to go to the beach.
Jomtien Beach is much more laid back than Pattaya beach. You can also find yourself enjoying the windsurfing if you're into that.
It's also close to Jomtien Beach road. For 10 baht and a 5 minute wait you can grab the baht bus that goes straight to Pattaya. It would take you between 10 to 20 minutes to reach Walking Street depending on the traffic.
You can expect to pay under 1000 baht per night for their standard room. Price-wise it's a good deal. Especially when you think about how close it is to the beach.
Not ideal if you want to party. Although you get the beach and the fair price - it's not ideal if you want to party it up in Pattaya. On your way back you'll have to take a 15 minute baht bus ride to Jomtien beach. So if you were hopping to walk you're out of luck.
Thinking of settling in Pattaya for a while? If that's the case I recommend getting a condo instead of a hotel room. Check out Expat Condos for some of the most varied selection of condos in Pattaya and Jomtien.
