Jimmy Wong's 2nd annual Thai tattoos arts festival in Pattaya hosted over 200 Tattoo artists from around the world.

The festival started on May 16th and lasted for 3 days through May 18th.
Traditional Thai - Tattoo also known as "Khone Drama" as well as foreign Tattoo artists participated in the exhibit.
The Festival started May 16th 2008 and started out with a seminar at the Manita Hotel Pattaya.
Following in the footsteps of his father - the famous artist Tattoo Jimmy Wong was showing off his craft at the second World Tattoo Arts Festival in Pattaya.

At the Pattaya Tattoo festival/convention you will be able to see a lot of different Thai Traditional Tattoo designs and also learn about the meaning of the tattoos.
Did you know? Some of the tattoos you see in Thailand are actually Buddhist prayers and chants. You can see them on the left hand side of a Thai person's shoulder. Many foreigners ('farangs') are getting them too! A popular person that has one is Angelina Jolie.

A 'design' is one that is a drawing that either you've chosen or that's already been done. A 'tribal' is a pattern that may or may not be symmetrical. A 'devotion sentence' is when you have a word or sentence that's tattoo-ed and that means something to you (hopefully not the name of a bar girl you met the day before!)
In any case - feel free to talk to the people at the festival and you'll get powerful advice on what kind of tattoo is good and where to best go. You might even make some friends-for-life!
