I am considering going to Pattaya in early 2011. I just want to know how safe would it be to travel there by myself?

I live in Atlanta where i work for a major Airline an i was thinking of traveling to Pattaya alone, i would like to know if it's safe there ?.

I have traveled to the Dominican Republic 19 times in 4 years but i hear this place blows it out of the water. Could someone share some good advice for me ?

I don't know many people say many things but I have never had a problem with Russians. They can not be all Mafia can they? I think most of them are tourists just like you.

Travel Alone to Pattaya

Hi Michael,
Pattaya is a fairly large City and attracts many different shades of people...with that being said I would say that Pattaya is safe but has any kind of people from very good to the worst can be found here, just like in any other big city.

If you use common sense you will have the time of your life in Pattaya. I have been many times in Pattaya and have heard of the bad kind of stories but mostly the wonderful ones.

Don't walk alone drunk as a skunk on Pattaya beach at 3 am. I give Pattaya 2 thumbs up. It's a fun city.

Thanks for your advice. I feel more confidant about going alone now. I guess I was worried about their being a lot of Russian Mafia there now.

hi Micheal i have been traveling to pattaya on my own from the uk for the past several years. I have never had any problems, the Thai people are wonderful and really welcome. like any country just be sensible. I feel safer in Thailand at night then in my own country. Good Luck TC. uk.
